Case Study
Color Chroma (maddymemmer.com)
Website Redesign on Wix
Client
Color Chroma
Founder: Maddy Memmer
Austin, Texas
Services: Personal Color Analysis, Styling, Group Workshops, Corporate Sessions
The Challenge
Color Chroma had an existing website built by the founder herself on Wix. While it functioned, it had reached its limits.
Key challenges included:
A DIY layout that didn’t fully reflect the professionalism or personality of the brand
Weak SEO performance and limited visibility in Google search
Lack of clear conversion paths for bookings
Minimal use of professional photography, making it harder for visitors to connect emotionally
A site structure that wasn’t designed to scale as the business grew
Maddy wanted a site that:
Looked professional, confident, and aligned with her brand
Converted visitors into bookings
Supported growth into corporate and group services
Still felt personal and approachable
Our Approach
Rodeo Creative redesigned Color Chroma’s website on Wix, focusing on clarity, conversion, and confidence.
Key elements of the redesign included:
A clean, modern layout inspired by reference sites provided by the client
Clear visual hierarchy and simplified navigation
Strong, direct calls to action centered around booking
SEO-friendly structure to support organic search growth
Integration of professional photography to humanize the brand
Messaging that clearly explains services without overwhelming visitors
Rather than overloading the site with text, we leaned into visual storytelling, concise copy, and intuitive user flow.
The Results
The impact of the redesign was immediate and measurable.
2–3× increase in inquiries compared to the previous website
Significant increase in higher-quality leads, including:
Corporate clients
Group bookings
Workshops and events
Improved Google visibility, with Color Chroma ranking near the top of the first page for relevant color analysis searches in their service area (Austin, TX)
Increased confidence from the client that the website truly represents her business
In Maddy’s words, the new site brought “double or triple” the traction of the old one.
Many of the new inquiries were from clients who likely would not have booked through the previous DIY site.
Conversion Optimization Insights
After launch, we reviewed user behavior and identified areas to further improve conversions:
Some users were visiting primarily to check pricing, then leaving
Mobile users occasionally missed navigation cues
Clear calls to action were effective, but could be even more direct
Based on this, we implemented:
A more prominent “Book Online” call to action in the main menu
Pricing placed directly on the homepage to:
Reduce confusion
Filter out non-serious inquiries
Save time for both client and customer
These refinements helped align the site with how real users were behaving.
Why It Worked
This project succeeded because:
The design matched the client’s personality and brand
The site prioritized clarity over cleverness
Visuals did the heavy lifting instead of walls of text
SEO and conversion were considered together, not separately
The site was built to support real business goals, not just aesthetics
The redesign turned the website into a true sales and credibility tool, not just an online brochure.
Client Feedback
Maddy highlighted:
The speed and responsiveness of the process
How closely the final site matched her inspiration
The value relative to cost
Increased confidence sending people to her website
She also noted that many of her best clients now find her through Google, not social media, reinforcing the importance of a strong website foundation.
